Pupusas
Pupusas are very popular and come from Central America. They are made of masa and filled with many of your favorite ingredients and topped with the famous “curtido” cabbage slaw and salsa.
INGREDIENTS
- 4 cups Maseca corn flour
- 3 cups tepid water
- 1 ½ Tbsp salt
- 2 cups of shredded cheese
- A large bowl with water and oil
Preparation
- Heat up a pan or a grill in advance. In a bowl mix the flour with tepid water to get the perfect texture. Dip your fingers in the water with the oil, take a handful of flour and make a small ball; flatten it and add some cheese in the center. Make another ball and flatten it; place it on the first one and close around the edges. Place the pupusas in a pan and fry until golden.
