2020 & 2021 Academic School Year

We received applicants seeking to advance their careers or train in specialized fields. We encouraged recipients from all levels of education to help them pursue their passion and goals. Over 70% are seeking a bachelor’s degree.

We received 392 applications from students residing in the communities we serve. We looked at a wide variety of factors, some more easily quantifiable than others, to select recipients from different backgrounds and levels of leadership.

5 Regions in 3 States

As the Cardenas Markets Foundation grows, so does our ability to reach out to new communities. This year, students from California, Arizona, and Nevada had an opportunity to apply for support that helped relive financial burden.

Students from multiple regions represent the diversity of our communities. Areas included the desert, coastal, border and inland cities of California, the populous areas of Las Vegas, NV, and Phoenix, AZ.
