Hunger Relief

Cardenas Markets is dedicated to the neighborhoods where we operate and our commitment to the local community extends past the confines of our stores.

In 2020, the Cardenas Markets Foundation established a $250,000 fund in immediate response to the unprecedented need faced by communities due to the COVID-19 epidemic.   The following food banks received monetary gifts totaling $140,000 from this emergency fund to provide food and resources to families impacted by the Coronavirus:  Alameda County Community Food Bank, Food Bank for Monterey County, Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano, Three Square Food Bank in Las Vegas, Feeding America of Riverside I San Bernardino County, Second Harvest of the Silicon Valley, Inland Valley Hope Partners Pomona and St. Mary’s Food Bank in Arizona.

Health & Children’s Wellbeing

The Cardenas Markets is passionate about advancing initiatives and causes aimed at improving the quality of life for children in our local communities.

Most recently, Cardenas Ranch Markets held its annual in-store fundraising campaign to support the critical needs of the Phoenix Children’s Hospital.  Funds from the Los Altos Ranch Markets annual fundraiser enable Phoenix Children’s Hospital to advance initiatives such as the Meal Assistance Program, Language Services Program, Emily Center Library, Animal Assisted Therapy, and 1 Darn cool School, just to name a few.  In addition, Cardenas Ranch Markets alongside the support of its generous customers have been able to donate over $150,000 through the company’s round-up campaign for this effort.
