Holiday Punch

A Traditional Mexican Fruit Punch perfect for the holiday season, made using water, fresh and dried fruits and sweetened with sugar. You can serve it with or without alcohol.


  • 1 Peeled Sugarcane
  • 7 oz Walnuts
  • 2 lbs Sugar
  • 4 Mandarin Oranges
  • 3 qts Water
  • 2 Cinnamon Sticks
  • 1 lb Mexican Hawthorns
  • 1 lb Guavas
  • 7 oz Raisins


  1. Bring water to a boil in a large stockpot
  2. Add cinnamon, sugar, sugarcane, and Mexican hawthorns
  3. Continue boiling for 15 minutes
  4. Add rest of the diced or whole ingredients and simmer for an hour
  5. Serve hot and add desired "piquete" a.k.a. liquor of choice
